Dhaka Premier League: Shakib to skip Super League

Star Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan decided not to play in Dhaka Super League.

He has already sent a letter to the authority of Mohammedan Sporting Club in this regard.

The cricket sensation is scheduled to travel to the USA after playing the 11th round of the tournament.

Cricket Committee secretary Salim Shahed confirmed the matter to risingbd on Thursday (June 17).

Salim said, “Shakib was staying in bio-secure bubble for last three months. He will travel to USA. He is little bit mentally exhausted. We have considered the issue following humanitarian ground. However, it is not finalized yet.”

Earlier, the cricketer had been let off lightly with a four-match suspension from Dhaka T20 Premier League, following his on-field meltdown during a match between Mohammedan Sporting and Abahani Limited.
