Bangladesh are fielding first as Zimbabwe opted to bat in the second T20I of the three-match series at the Harare Sports Club, Harare on Friday (July 23).
Bangladesh have handed an international debut to 20-year-old Shamim Hossain. Four years ago, he had caught the attention of Mushfiqur Rahim after scoring 226 off 286 balls for BKSP Under-17 against West Bengal.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Naim and Soumya Sarkar’s fifties set up a comfortable eight-wicket victory for Bangladesh in the T20I series opener after a clinical bowling performance restricted the hosts Zimbabwe to 152 despite Regis Chakabva’s blitz.
