Tigers need 94 runs to seal series against NZ

New Zealand have set a 94-run target for Bangladesh in the fourth of the five-match Twenty20 series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur in Dhaka on Wednesday (September 8).

The Tiger bowlers, thanks to four wicket-haul of Nasum and Mustafizur each, restricted the visitors to 93 runs as they were bowled out in 19.3 overs.

Nasum smashed four wickets just for 10 runs in four overs with two maidens.

Cutter Master Mustafizur Rahman dismissed four wickets for 12 runs in 3.3 overs while Mahedi Hasan and Mohammad Saifuddin shared one wicket each.

For New Zealand, Will Young hit 46 runs from 48 balls while skipper Tom Latham 21 runs off 26 balls. Opener Finn Allen posted 12 runs.

No other batsmen could reach two digits as four hit ducks.

Mentionable, Bangladesh lead the five-match series 2-1. The Tigers beat the Blackcaps in the first two matches while the New Zealand won the third match. Bangladesh need another win to seal the series. If the Tigers can beat the visitors in a match, they will make history of claiming the maiden T20 series victory against New Zealand.
