Bangladesh archers Roman Shana and Nasrin Akter defeated their Indian counterparts in the final of the mixed Recurve event of the Asia Cup Archery World Ranking Stage-1 in Phuket, Thailand on Saturday (March 19) to win the country its first gold.
The Bangladeshi duo came from behind to defeat the Indian pair of Salenke and Ridhi Phor by 5-3 set points.
Earlier on Friday (March 18), the duo easily won their quarter-final and semi-final bouts against a Thai and Kazakh pair respectively, winning both games by identical 6-0 margins.
