International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Greg Berkeley is set to arrive in Dhaka on Sunday (May 22) for a two-day visit.

He will visit various cricket infrastructure in Dhaka on the very first day of his tour. He will also visit Sheikh Hasina International Cricket Stadium in Purbachal.

Jalal Yunus, Chairman of operations committee of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), confirmed the tour schedule of Greg Berkeley in Dhaka.

He on Saturday afternoon said, “He (Greg Berkeley) will arrive in Dhaka tomorrow (Sunday). He will visit some infrastructure including Sheikh Hasina International Cricket Stadium. He is likely to go there and there will be some discussion.”

BCB is arranging a complementary dinner party for Greg Berkeley at Sunday evening. He is also scheduled to watch the first hour of the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka Test in Mirpur the following day.

After India’s Shashank Manohar stepped down as ICC Chairman in 2020, Singapore Cricket Board chief Imran Khawaja had been acting interim chairman. Greg Berkeley of New Zealand was then elected ICC Chairman.

Berkeley is scheduled to fly for Kolkata from Bangladesh. There he will watch the IPL play-offs and finals. BCB President Nazmul Hasan is also scheduled to visit India to watch the IPL final.
