Bangladesh will play Asia Cup without Shakib!

Bangladesh will have to play the 15th edition of the Asia Cup without ace allrounder Shakib Al Hasan if he does not cancel his contract with Betwinner News, which is reportedly a sister concern of betting site Betwinner.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is going to take such kind of decision today.

Shakib Al Hasan signed a contract with Betwinner News.

BCB will not accept Shakib's deal with Betwinner since it goes against their stance and country’s laws. BCB has told Shakib to cancel contract with Betwinner and ensure it about the contract cancellation.

BCB asked Shakib to inform about the matter by Tuesday, but he did not inform till Wednesday night. BCB will wait till this noon for Shakib and after that they will announce the final Asia Cup team as the squad announcement deadline ends today (August 11), sources said.
