Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board Najam Sethi informed in a tweet that Pakistan and Afghanistan would play three T20 games against each other by the end of March.

He said that the T20I series would compensate for what Afghanistan lost when Cricket Australia pulled out of the ODI series set to take place in UAE.

As he wrote on his Twitter, “Pleased to announce PCB will play 3xT20s against Afghanistan in Sharjah end March to compensate Afghanistan following Australia’s pullout from bi lateral series against it.”

The Chairman also mentioned that he supported the Asian Cricket Council’s decision to grant Afghanistan an equal share of ACC revenues like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka boards.

“I also supported ACC decision to grant Afghanistan equal share of ACC revenues like BCCI, PCB, SLC & BCB,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, Australia’s men’s cricket team withdrew earlier last month from a series of upcoming matches against Afghanistan in protest over the Taliban’s restrictions on female education and work, said Australian Cricket Board.

Australia’s decision was criticised, especially by Afghan cricket players and citizens who said that politics and sports should be kept separate._Agencies
