Staff Correspondent: Customs officials seized 13 gold bars weighing 1.454 kilogrammes from a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Customs intelligence director general Dr Md Shahidul Islam told risingbd.com that tipped off, the law enforcers conducted a search operation when the flight (BG 040) landed at the airport and recovered the gold bars from seven passengers on Saturday afternoon.
The market value of the seized gold is worth Tk 72 lakh.
