10 bodies handed over to families

Staff Correspondent: A total of 10 bodies of the victims of Banani fire incident have been handed over to their families and relatives.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost in-charge Bacchu Mia confirmed the matter on Friday morning.

The ten victims’ are- Atiqur Rahman, 42, Amir Hossain Rabbi, 29, Iftekhar Hossain, 37, Jarin Ahsan Bristi, 25, Tanvir Siddique Abir, 29, Manjur Hasan, 89, Fazle Rabbi, 30, Ahsan Jafar.

Bacchu Mia also said that the family members of the victims identified the bodies easily as the bodies were not distorted following fire incident in Banani. The nine bodies were handed over to their families without autopsy following family demand. 

Earlier, at least 19 persons were killed and an unspecified number of people suffered burn and other injuries in city’s Banani FR Tower inferno on Thursday noon.
