10 journalists get World Peace Gold Medal in Khulna

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: Ten journalists were awarded with World Peace Gold Medal 2018, for their contribution in realistic journalism in Khulna.

Muhammad Nuruzzaman, staff correspondent of risingbd.com and nine other journalists have received the award this year.

Bangladesh Shilpa Sahitya-Sangskritik Parishad and Development Research Foundation (DRF) jointly organized the prize distribution program on Friday.

Khulna constituency-2 lawmaker and Khulna metropolitan unit Awami League General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Mizan, as the chief guest, handed over the prizes to the awardees at a program held at Umeesh Chandra Public Library Auditorium in Khulna City.

The award winners are- Tarikul Islam, editor of the daily Somoyer Khobor, Mizanur Rahman, editor of the daily Khulnanchal, Mohammad Ali, editor of the daily Purbanchal, Enamul Haque, bureau chief of the daily Ittefaq, Mamun Reza, bureau chief of the daily Samakal, Hasan Ahmed Mollah, chief reporter of Saptahik Amader Khulna, Koushik De, staff correspondent of the daily Kalerkantha and Sheikh Al-Ehsan, staff correspondent of the daily Prothom Alo.

Besides, 11 more journalists received crests.
