12 dead in India flyover collapse

International Desk: At least 12 people are feared dead and several trapped after a portion of an uder-construction flyover collapsed near the Varanasi Cantt railway station. Rescue efforts are on.

Pictures from the incident site showed passengers being pulled out from a car trapped under the collapsed portion of the flyover.

"Deputy chief minister KP Maurya and minister Neelkanth Tiwari have been directed by the chief minister Yogi Adityanath to visit Varanasi's Cantt area. The CM has expressed grief and directed administration to speed up resuce operation," Sidharth Nath Singh, UP health minister said.
