16 gold bars found in man’s rectum

Staff Correspondent: Officials of Dhaka Customs House detained a person with 16 gold bars weighing 1.60 kg in his rectum at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Friday night.
The detainee was identified as Md Wahidujjaman Sujon Mia, hailing from Gopalganj.
Confirming the matter on Saturday, HM Ahsanul Kabir, assistant commissioner of Dhaka Customs House, said Wahidujjaman came to Dhaka from Singapore by a flight TR2656 of Tiger Airways.
Tipped off, customs officials challenged Wahidujjaman while he was crossing the green zone of the airport.
Interrogated, Wahidujjaman denied carrying any gold initially, but finally confessed that he was carrying the 16 gold bars kept hidden inside his rectum through a special process.
The gold bars were released from his bowl. The market value of the gold is Tk75 lakh.
