17 gold bars seized at Dhaka airport

Staff Correspondent: Customs Intelligence seized 17 gold bars, weighing around two kilograms from ten passengers at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Customs Intelligence sources said that the gold bars were seized from ten passengers of BG-040 flight on May 11. The passengers were carrying the gold bars in their under garments.
Customs intelligence director general Dr Md Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter on Saturday.
Current market value of the seized gold is over Tk Tk90.50 lakh.
