178 exporters get CIP cards

Staff Correspondent: The government honoured 178 exporters with CIP (commercially important person) cards for their extraordinary performance in export trade and economic sector.
The authority awarded CIP cards to 42 business-persons from different business chambers and trade bodies under the ex-officio category.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed handed the CIP cards at a ceremony held at the Radisson Blu Water Garden in Dhaka on Monday.
The awards were given in 19 export sectors.
The commerce ministry and the Export Promotion Bureau organized the programme.
Commerce ministry secretary Subhasish Basu presided over the programme where FBCCI president Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, EPB Vice-chairman Bijoy Bhattacharya, FBCCI director Hasina Newaj and other attended.
