182 policemen to get BPM, PPM

Staff Correspondent: In recognition of the gallantry and service, 182 police officers and staff will be honored with Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) and President Police Medal (PPM) award.

These awards will be given to them at an occasion of Police Week-2017 scheduled to begin from January 8.

The medals will be given on four categories. The police headquarter source has informed on Wednesday that a list has already been finalized.

The source informed that 30 police personnel will receive ‘Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) in recognition of bravery while 28 police officers will receive ‘Bangladesh Police Medal (Service)’ medal in recognition of solving important mysterious cases, crime control and for commendable contribution with skill, piety, integrity and disciplinary behavior.

Moreover, 71 members of police will receive President Police Medal (PPM) for bravery and other 53 personnel will receive PPM medal for service.
