2 CU BCL leaders expelled

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Two leaders of Chittagong University (CU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling party, have been expelled for allegedly creating unrest on the campus after a clash between the police and  BCL men on Thursday.

The expelled BCL leaders are—Mizanur Rahman Bipul, deputy office secretary of the CU unit, and Abdullah Al Kaiser, assistant secretary.

BCL’s central office secretary Delwar Hossain Shahjada confirmed the matter to risngbd.com.

Earlier on Thursday noon, at least 10 people were injured as activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) locked into a clash with the law enforcers in Chittagong University following a protest waged by BCL men demanding the authorities to allow one of their suspended fellow activists to sit for final year examination of mass communication and journalism department.
