2 Shibir leaders held with bombs in Rajshahi

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Police detained two leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir district unit along with three hand bombs and huge number of Jihadi books from Rajshahi town on Monday night.

The detainees are - Ismail Hossain Siraji, 20, convener of Rajshahi metropolitan Chhatra Shibir and Shakib Hossain Rajib, 23, Chhatra Shibir president of Rajshahi University's Joha Hall.

Spokesperson of Rajshahi Metropolitan Politon Police (RMP) Senior Assistant Commissioner Iftekhar Alam said acting on a tip-off, police conducted drive in a student dormitory in Sadhurmor area and detained Ismail Hossain. Meanwhile, three hand bombs and bomb making equipments were recovered from his room.

Besides, police arrested Shakib Hossain Rajib from Dashmari area along with huge number of Jihadi books.
