2 groups of BNP clash in Jhenaidah, 15 injured

Jhenaidah Correspondent:  At least 15 people were injured as two groups of BNP clashed in the district.

This incident took place at 11.30am on Wednesday during a meeting at the Municipal Community Center.

Local sources said that a meeting was started with district BNP president Mashiur Rahman in the chairmanship.  President of the meeting kept the welcome speech and the chief guest of the meeting, BNP chairperson's adviser Prof. Joynal Abedin gave the introductory speech.

Then the supporters of central human rights secretary Advocate Asaduzzaman Assad tried to enter the meeting room and at that time, the supporters of Mashiur Rahman tried to stop them that triggered a clash, leaving 15 people injured in both sides.

Later police reached the spot and the situation was brought the situation under control.
