2 killed in Gazipur road crash

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: At least two people were killed in a collision between a truck and pick-up van in the district early Thursday.
The accident took place on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Aspara area of Sreepur.
The deceased were identified as pick-up van owner Aminul Islam (28), son of Abul Kalam at Chokpara village of Sreepur upazila, and driver Al Amin (24), son of Aminul Islam at Katlahat village under Birampur upazila in Dinajpur district.
According to sources, the chicken-laden truck hit the truck standing on the road, leaving one dead on the spot and another died on way to hospital.
