2 killed in Siddhirganj road accident

Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj: At least two persons were killed in a road accident as a goods-laden truck ran over a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Siddhirganj early Saturday.
The incident took place in Dhakeshwari area.
The deceased were identified as the auto-rickshaw driver Monir Hossain, son of Ratan Mia of Narsingdi and Mahbub Alam, a passenger of the auto-rickshaw hailing from Damudya of Shariatpur.
The jute-laden truck fled from the scene leaving both Mahbub and Monir dead on the spot.
The bodies of the victims were kept at Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy.
