2 minors missing as boat capsizes at Sadarghat

Senior Correspondent: Two minors were missing as a boat capsized in the Buriganga River in the capital’s Sadarghat on Friday morning.

Identities of the victims could not be known immediately.

Rashed Sikdar, duty officer of Fire service control room said, a boat carrying five passengers capsized around 7:00am, leaving the two children missing. Meanwhile, three other passengers managed to swim ashore.

Naval police and coast guards have joined the rescue operation.
