2 placed on 4-day remand in Mahfuza Chy murder case

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has placed two suspects on a four-day remand for interrogation regarding the murder a former principal of Eden Mohila College Mahfuza Chowdhury Parvin.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahinur Rahman passed the order after hearing on Saturday.

Earlier, police produced them before the court seeking 10 days remand.

Mahfuza Chowdhury Parvin, 65, a social science professor who was the principal of the Eden Mohila College from February 2009 to April 2012, was strangled at her own house in the capital's Elephant Road on February 11 when her husband Ismat Quadir Gama was not at home.
