2 traders slaughtered to death in Meherpur

Meherpur Correspondent: Two traders have been slaughtered to death by miscreants in the district.  

The victims are Abdul Majid (55), son of late Abdul Jalil at Sonpur village under Sadar upazila and Asadul Islam (50), son of Tafchuddin of the same village.

On information, police recovered their bodies from a field of Kathalpota village on Monday noon.

According to sources, about 10-12 people picked up timber trader Abdul Majid and poultry trader Asadul Islam from a tea stall on Sunday night.

Later the terrorists demanded Tk 10 lakh as ransom from their families. But their families could not manage the money.
