20 injured in separate clashes in Gopalganj

Gopalganj Correspondent: At least 20 people, including two woman, were injured in separate two clashes in the district on Friday morning.

The clash occurred at Shashabaria under Sadar upazila and Gazalia of Tungipara upazila.

The police said that Azizul Biswas locked into an altercation with Imam Mostain Billa over teaching students at a mosque at Gazalia. For the sake of this, the supporters  of Azizul Biswas attacked Imam Mostain Billa. At one stage, supporters of two groups locked into a clash, leaving 10 injured.

Two seriously injured were admitted to Gopalganj General Hospital.

On the other hand, at least 10 people, including two women, were injured in a clash between the two groups over establishing supremacy at Shashabaria village.  Among them, Amena Begum (60), Shefali Begum (30), Hasan (38) and Modh Mukul Sheikh (36) were admitted to Gopalganj General Hospital.
