Staff Correspondent: Banaripara upazila administration has seized 218 mounds of rice.
In a drive, the rice was seized around 10.00pm on Tuesday at Nalushree under Saidkati union.
Confirming the matter, UNO Israt Jahan said, a huge amount of rice was stored illegally without license. After the operation, the rice was seized first. Later, the hoarder Masum Munshi was arrested.
When Masum Munshi was handed over to a mobile court, he was fined five thousand taka.
