24 missing after boat capsize in Sandwip

Staff Correspondent: At least 24 people went missing as a boat capsized in Sandwip area of Bay of Bengal in Chittagong.
The incident took place around 7:30pm on Sunday.
Confirming the matter, Moktar Azad Khan, Sandwip human right commission general secretary said that a boat took 35-40 people from a sea-truck in the channel. At one stage, the boat capsized due to rough weather.
Meanwhile, locals rescued 10-12 passengers after the accident and 24 others remained missing.
Coast guard sources said that their rescue team is heading towards the spot.
