255 cartons of foreign cigarettes seized

Economic Reporter: Customs Intelligence has seized 255 cartons of banned foreign cigarettes at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The cigarettes were seized at a raid on Saturday morning. The value of the seized goods with duty tax is around 15 lakh and 50 thousand taka.

Director General of the Directorate of Customs and Investigation Dr. Mainul Khan informed this to the risingbd.

According to customs intelligence, Mohammad Belal of Fatikchari upazila of Chittagong landed at the Shahjalal International Airport at 2:20 pm on a Kuwait Airways flight from Dubai.  The cigarettes were seized after searching his luggage.
