2nd round of Walton Nat'l Cricket League starts

Sports Correspondent: The second round of Walton National Cricket League's 20th edition has been started at several venues across the country.

The matches started at 9:30am on Monday in four venues.

A total of eight teams - seven divisional and Dhaka Metropolis - are competing in the country`s first class cricket competition in two tiers. 

In the first tier matches, Barishal Division are taking on Khulna Division at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna while Rangpur Division have locked horn with Rajshahi Division at Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi. Winning toss, Rajshahi Division skipper Zahurul Islam opted to bowl first.

In second tier, Sylhet Division are playing against Chattogram Division at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar while Dhaka Metro are taking on Dhaka Division at Fatullah Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Cricket Stadium.

Earlier, the first round of Walton 20th National Cricket League (NCL) -2018 ended on Thursday (October 04).
