3 Myanmar citizens held with 3.62 lakh Yaba pills

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel detained three Myanmar citizens with 362,486 Yaba tablets from Teknaf border area of Cox's Bazar on Monday.

The detainees are- Abu Fayaz, 40, son of Yunus Ali, Mohammad Shafiq, 20, son of Abdur Rashid, Rafiq, 25, son of Fayjal Ahmed.

BGB Teknaf-2 Battalion commander lieutenant colonel SM Ariful Islam confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

He said that acting on tip-off, BGB personnel took position in Mochni area of Netongpara union. Meanwhile, the law enforcers signaled an engine run boat to stop moving. But, sensing the presence of BGB men, the smugglers tried to flee the scene. Later, the law enforcers recovered the huge number of Yaba tablets.
