3 army personnel killed in Noakhali jeep plunge

Noakhali Correspondent: At least three army personnel died and ten others injured after their jeep had plunged into a roadside ditch in Suborno Char upazila of the district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Fayez, Firoz and Masum.

Witnesses said that the Jeep, carrying a team of army personnel (21 Engineers Battalion), was heading towards Swarna Dwip Army training camp. At one stage, the jeep plunged into the roadside ditch in Totabazar area around 3:00pm, leaving Fayez and Masum dead on the spot and injured others.

Later, another army personnel named Firoz died at the hospital under treatment.
