'3 crore farmers to be brought under digital database'

Risingbd Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said 3 crore farmers will be brought under digital database across the country as the government is building a digital database for the farmers.

"A digital database of farmers is being built across the country. A total of 3 crore farmers will be brought under the database gradually," she said in a message marking the 46th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Krishak League.

To reach the agriculture services to the doorstep of each farmer easily, the government is building a 'Krishi Batayan' (agriculture window), the premier said, adding that a digital database for the farmers is also being created in the Batayan.

The Prime Minister mentioned that data of 65 lakh farmers have already been inserted in the database.
