At least 3 dead as 'Mora' hits coastal areas

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: At least three people died in Cox’s Bazar as Cyclone Mora made landfall and crossed the coast of Chittagong, showing signs of weakening with rainfall.

Chakaria Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bakhtiar Ahmed said two people named Rahmat Ullah and Sayra Khatun were killed as uprooted tree hit them in Chakaria.

In separate incident, another person named Marium Begum, wife of Badiul Alam, died at a shelter center in Cox's Bazar.

Cox's Bazar municipality mayor Mahabubur Rahman Chowdhury said the victim was physically weak. Later, she died of cardiac arrest.
