3 killed in Sirajganj boiler explosion

Sirajganj Correspondent: At least three workers were killed in an explosion of boiler at a rice processing mill at Shiyalkol bazar under Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Chaber Ali, 50, his wife Jahanara Khatun, 45 and Sakera Bewa, 48.

Sources said that the blast took place in a rice mill named Shamim Rice Mill in the area on January 11, leaving the three workers injured critically.

Later, the injured were sent to burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. But, the victims succumbed their injuries while undergoing treatment in the hospital on Tuesday.

Sirajganj Sadar police station OC Helal Uddin confirmed the matter.
