Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: At least 33 houses and goods were gutted in a devastating fire broke out in East Chandra area of Kaliakoir upazila of the district on Sunday morning.
Staff of Kaliakoir Fire Service doused the fire with an effort of two hours.
Kaliakoir Fire Service Officer Kabirul Islam said that the fire broke out in a rented house during cooking at a gas cylinder around 5.45am. Later the fire spread to the other houses rapidly.
After receiving the information, two units of Kaliakoir Fire Service reached the spot and doused the fire with an effort of two hours.
