33.95 lakh cases under trial in courts

Parliament Correspondent: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq told the House on Monday that there are 33,95,649 cases under trial till March 31, 2018 in different courts of the country.

The minister came up with the information while replying to a question of Begum Sanjida Khanam, Hon'able Member of Parliament, in the Jatiya Sangsad.

The number of civil cases under trial is 13,90,209 in different courts of the country while the number of criminal cases under trial is 19,18,527. The number of other cases which are pending the courts is 86,913, Anisul Huq told the House.
