Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Chhatra Parishad formed a human chain and demanded extension of the age limit for government jobs from 30 years to 35.

The student wing came up with the demand during the programme at National Press Club in the capital on Saturday.

Speakers in the programme said, "As the life expectancy was 45 years, we had an age limit of 27. Now when the life expectancy is 72, what should the age limit be?"

They also said that multinational companies including private banks follow the government rules during recruitment. As a result, the scope in private sector also is becoming limited.

Bangladesh Chhatra Parishad central committee president Alamin Razu, Senior vice-president Sanjay Das general secretary and others attended.
