4 get life term for murder in Mymensingh

Staff Correspondent: A court in Mymensingh on Wednesday sentenced four people to life term imprisonment for killing a youth in Phulpur upazila in 1993.

Additional district and session judge court-2 Justice Mohammad Jahirul Kabir passed the order on Wednesday.

The convicts are- Abdul Motaleb, Abdul Hariz, Chanu and Shaheed.

According to the case statement, on July 7, 1993, the killers killed Tofazzal, son of Abdul Khalek. Later, victim's father filed a murder case with Phulpur police station.

On May 16, 1999, the court released the convicts from the charge. Later, plaintiff of the case filed appeal to the higher court challenging the lower court verdict.
