4 held for cheating during admission test

Gopalganj Correspondent: Four admission seekers were held on charge of their involvement in cheating during the (honours) admission test at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science & Technology University on Friday.

The detainees are- Sudipta Barai, son of Jagadish Barai, hailed from Bahadur village under Rajoir upazila of Madaripur, Suvash Posta, son of Gandhi Posta, hailed from Aruakandi of the upazila, Uzzal Barai, son of Haridash Barai, hailed from Konaivita village of Kotalipara upazila in Gopalganj and Mithun Biswas, son of Mohadeb Biswas.

The university authorities of caught them from various exam halls during the admission test of ‘C’ unit around 10:00am.

University sources said that Sudipta Barai was held with electronic devices. Later, following his information, the university administration and detectives detained three more students at different exam centres.

Confirming the matter, university Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khondoker Nasiruddin said legal action will be taken against them after investigation.
