4 hurt in Bhashani varsity clash in Tangail

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: At least four people were injured in a clash between two groups in Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) in Tangail.

The injured are - Mahbub Elahi, Marzu, Shanta and Mizanur.

Sources said that centering dispute over a football match, two BCL groups of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall and Muktijoddha Abdul Mannan Hall locked into clash around 10:00pm on Sunday. At one stage, one group attack other group, leaving four persons injured.

Later, the injured were sent to Tangail General Hospital.

The university assistant proctor Dr Abu Rashed said that additional police forces were deployed in the campus to bring the situation under control.
