4 of a family burnt in Savar

Staff Correspondent: Four members of a family have received burn injuries as a fire broke out at their two-storey building in Savar early Thursday.

The family members are shopkeeper Majaharul Islam, 35, his wife Shumi Akhter,30, and their daughters --Sumaya Akhter ,12, and Suraiya,8.

They were immediately taken to Enam Medical College Hospital with 15 to 35 percent burn injuries. Later, they were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Locals suspected that relatives of Majaharul set fire to their building breaking a window.

Officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station Abdul Awal confirmed the fire incident but he did not mention the reason behind the fire.
