4 still missing day after landslide in Bandarban

Bandarban Correspondent: Four people are still missing after a landslide occurred at a road in Dalianpara area under Ruma upazila of the district.

The victims' are- Simengcing, 17, Munni Barua, 35, Gautam Kumar Nandi, 55, and Rabiul, postmaster of Ruma post office.

Local sources said that the landslides triggered by heavy rains left a woman dead with four others missing on Sunday.

Later, army personnel, fire servicemen and members of Red Crescent started rescue operation but at one stage, they stopped the drive due to heavy rain and lack of day light.  

Bandarban sadar police station Office-in-Charge Rafiq Ullah said that the rescue operation is underway. Details can be said later.
