45 pc dearness allowance announced for journos

Secretariat Correspondent: The government has directed all the news media, including electronic media and news agencies, to provide dearness allowance to their staff, including journalists and other employees, under the 9th wage board.

Information Ministry issued a gazette in this regard on Tuesday.

According to the notification signed by the ministry secretary Abdul Malek, the order would be effective since March 1, 2018.

The interim benefit will be adjusted with the salary structure later, the notification read.
