Staff Correspondent: A total of 49 candidates have been elected uncontested in reserved seats for the 11th national parliament.
EC joint secretary Md Abul Kashem came up with the announcement while addressing a press conference at Election Bhaban in capital’s Agargaon on Sunday noon.
He said that yesterday was the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers and no one of the candidates withdrew their nomination papers. According to the rules, EC formally published the final list today.
“We have submitted the list to EC secretary. A circular will be issued in this regard today or tomorrow,” he added.
