5 muggers held in city

Staff Correspondent: Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) nabbed five muggers in separate drives across the city on Wednesday night.

DMP's media wing chief Md Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter on Thursday.

He said that the muggers stopped a man named Golam Mahabub Bhuiyan at Elenbari Trust Feeling station in Tejgaon on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, patrol police rushed to the spot haring the victim's shouting and detained two muggers Omar Ali and Tarek.

Besides, the law enforcers also detained three more snatchers from Karwan Bazar and Uttara area, he added.
