5 new political parties seek registration

Staff Correspondent: Five new political parties sought permission from Election Commission ahead of national election.

The Election Commission issued notification asking for application from interested political parties. The deadline for submitting application will be expired on December 31. 

Roushan Ara Begum, assistant secretary of EC, said, "We have received some application from new parties. After checking applications, registration of new parties will be finalized according to the framework. Then, the newly registered parties will be allowed to participate in 11th general election."

The new parties are- Bangladesh Islamic Gazi, Bangladesh Janata Party, Jamiat Ulema-e Islam, Nizam-e-Islam Party, Bangladesh Jalali Party and Sonar Bangla Unnayan League.
