53,696 Hajj pilgrims return home

Secretariat Correspondent: A total of 53,696 hajj pilgrims have returned home by 143 hajj flights – 73 Saudi Arabian Airlines and 70 Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

Hajj bulletin from religion ministry confirmed the information on Monday.

The return flights will continue till September 26.

This year, 115 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims, including 21 women, died in Saudi Arabia. Among them, 75 died in Makkah, 10 in Madina, two in Jeddah, 18 in Mina and 10 in Arafat, said Makkah Hajj Office.

According to the office, this year a total of 1,27,298 people, including members of hajj management, went to Saudi Arabia through 371 hajj flights to perform the holy Hajj.
