Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Police in a drive arrested 54 Rohingya people from Kazir Deuri area in port city’s Kotwali Thana on Thursday night.
Being tipped off that some Rohingya people were roaming in the city, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested them.
The detainees are eight men, 14 women and 32 children, said Mohammad Mahsin, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.
Police are taking steps to send them back to Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camp, said the OC.
