6 BD cricketers in ESPN best performers list

Sport Desk: ESPN Cricinfo, the most well circulated cricket related website, has nominated six Bangladeshi cricketers for their best annual performer of the Year list. The name of the winners will be known tonight (Friday night).

In the previous season, young pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman, known as the ‘cutter master’ won the Best Rising Performer of the Year recognition. All-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz is the securing tough contest in this segment this year.

Apart from Mustafizur Rahman and Mehedi Hasan Miraz, other Bangladeshi contestants are – Tamim Iqbal, Sabbir Rahman, Mahmudullah Riyad and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza.

Tamim Iqbal has been nominated for his unique 104 run innings at the Dhaka Test along with Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s unbeatable 235 run knock, Kaushal Mendes’ 176 run knock.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza’s 4 for 29 run against England put him in the list beside the performance of Imran Tahir, John Hastings and Sunil Narine.

Kiwi pacer James Faulkner will have a fight with Mustafizur Rahman in the nomination of best bowler in T20s.
