6 relatives meet Khaleda at jail

Staff Correspondent: Six members of Khaleda Zia met her at Old Central Jail on Nazimuddin Road of old parts of the capital city on Eid day Wednesday.

The members include—Khaleda Zia’s sister Selima Islam with husband professor Rafiqul Islam, Khaleda's younger brother late Sayeed Eskandar's wife Nasrin Eskandar, Tarique Rahman’s wife Dr Zobaida Rahman’s elder sister Shahina Khan Zaman Bindu, son Late Arafat Rahman Koko’s wife Sharmila Rahman and daughter Jafia Rahman.

However, 14 persons were returned back failing to meet Khaleda due to lack of permission.

Earlier, four vehicles carrying the relatives of Khaleda Zia went at the jail gate around 2:25pm. Later, six of them entered inside at 3:35pm.

Sources said Khaleda Zia exchanged Eid greetings with the relatives.
