Staff Correspondent: Six people have been awarded with death penalty for killing administrative officer of Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Anisur Rahman.
Judge of the Speedy Trial Tribunal-4 Abdur Rahman Sardar announced the verdict on Thursday noon.
The death penalty convicts are Shahidur Rahman Khadem, Mahbub Alam Liton, Sheikh Shamim Ahmed, Kamal Hossain Biplob and Sohel alias Cats I Sohel.
Besides, Abdullah Mohammad Nazimuddin Babu has been sentenced to life term imprisonment and fined Tk 20,000.
The court has acquitted Ajgar Hossain Rana for not being proved his involvement.
